The Five Best Things about Super Bowl XL
1. The crowd of Steelers fans we met at Lark Tavern, who cheered me for having a genuine Terrible Towel.
2. The Roethlisberger/Parker/Randle El reverse to Hines Ward for a TD, and Willie Parker's 75-yard TD run: two of the coolest Super Bowl plays ever.
3. Being able to tell all the haters and the doubters where they can stick it!
4. The Bus finally getting the trophy he so richly deserves. And, of course-

What I wouldn't give to be in downtown Pittsburgh right now!

I've been waiting my whole life to see a Steelers Super Bowl victory. It was well worth the wait! Let's do it again next year! ^_^

(( The Leonard Nimoy and Macguyver commercials were also pretty damn sweet! ))

They shut down the 3 sisters, the 16th and 10th street bridges, the Hot Metal Bridge, and the Birmingham Bridge. Carson street was closed to traffic. Fort Duquesne Blvd/Blvd of the Allies were pretty much all that was open in downtown to traffic.

I've had Seattle fans bitching, but seriously, they left 16 points on the field between missed kicks and the INT. We beat the top 3 in the AFC, and the #1 in the NFC. There is no fucking doubt, Pittsburgh Steelers deserve to be world champions.

Seriously. And they had that fumble overturned, and could've done something with that. But no. They lost this game all by themselves.

People make up the stupidest excuses for Steelers victories. I even heard a Denver fan blaming a flu virus that had been going around the city for the Broncos' poor performance. If that's seriously what they think brought about their loss, then all I can say is, man up, Nancy! ;)

Hee, I was scrolling around the Intarn3t when I saw the newsbit on Yahoo that they'd won, and immediately thought of you. XD

My favorite commercials were the cavemen one and the robot scarecrow one (which was on a bit before the game started). One of the people I was watching with kept saying "Where's the MacGuyver commercial, I want to see the MacGuyver commercial!" until it came on. ; )

And I totally didn't recognize Nimoy until the end of the commercial. He's so old....

I wasn't sure at first if it was Leonard Nimoy either- my gut reaction was "Hey, it's him!", but then I wavered for a few moments until the end- but I have the following excuses:

1) I was in a bar and couldn't hear the TV, and
2) I was sitting some ways away from the TV, and didn't have my glasses on (I'm a little near-sighted).

I'm not entirely proud that my excuses make me sound like an old goat, but there you are.
