OK, weird. So when I spoke to my parents on Saturday, I was told that Ray's mom was coming off her ventilator, and that would be the end of it, since she couldn't breathe on her own. When I called Sunday to check up on them, they said that she actually did start breathing on her own again, and even regained consciousness for a bit. She's not out of the woods yet, but apparently she's a lot better off than anyone, even her doctors, imagined. My parents are still heading to AZ this week, though, so I really don't know at this point. I'll just hope for the best, whatever that is.

Of course, the thematically appropriate Holy Grail references are now stuck in my head and refuse to budge. I feel bad, but at the same time, I think Ray's mom would understand.
