The Curse: first the Bengals, now the Titans
2005
* Bengals defeat Steelers. T.J. Houshmandzadeh wipes his feet on a Terrible Towel.

* Week following: Bengals lose to Steelers, and are eliminated from the playoffs. Steelers then go on to win the Super Bowl.

* Ever since: Bengals have failed to make the playoffs or even finish a season with anything resembling dignity.

2008
* Titans defeat Steelers. LenDale White stomps on a Terrible Towel.

* Week following: Titans lose to Colts, 23-0.

* Two weeks after that: Titans lose to Ravens, 13-10, and are eliminated from the playoffs.

Defile at your own risk.

hm, with the Pats out by default (which feels *so* good) and the Cowboys out (snicker!) and now with the Titans eliminated, I feel good about the Giants chances. just have to get over the Eagles :crosses fingers:

Week 17 was some of the funniest shit ever! New England out, Dallas out, Denver out after leading their division all year, and Brett Favre's epic meltdown (RETIRE, damn it!).

I think the Giants' chances are good tomorrow, unless Philly comes up with a HUGE game. If the Giants have to play the Cardinals after that, they're going to the Super Bowl. If they draw Carolina, I'm not sure who'd win. It would be quite the knock-down drag-out.

oh, man, the Jets are such a class-less team :/ Favre is so old.... but there have been a lot of upsets lately, including this toppling of the Titans, it's crazy.

Practically every week this season has featured something utterly bizarre. Cards thwomped the Panthers last night, case in point!

Really? I'd feel bad. It's Upset Weekend. Giants are the favorites to win against the Eagles, aren't they?

//Chargers are favored over the Steelers, so I feel pretty good.

true, and that's why I'm too nervous to watch the game. the G-men's one home loss was to the Eagles :(

As resident Giant fan, let me remind me you this team can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

//end rant of resident Giant fan
/// firw coghlin can resume?

you are very, very, correct :( but, on the bright side, we're not the Jets. :P

Mum and I were away for the day so we missed the Titans/Ravens game...although we caught most of the Cards/Panthers wtf was that romp. I cannot tell a lie...we cheered that the Titans were arse raped by the curse of the Terrible Towel!

Also! I have a mate of mine attempting to make me an icon...it is very Steeler-centric and I will gladly share if she does make it. Me thinks you'll get a kick out of it. ^^

Now roll on tomorrow and really cold weather hating on that team from southern California. *prays before mighty Steelers alter of doom*

Yay! I look forward to seeing new iconage. =) And yeah, I too am baffled by the Cards!

I live about five miles from Heinz Field. It is snowing lightly outside my apartment windows. Here's hoping the craptacular weather works against the Bolts, but here's also hoping it doesn't get so craptacular that my trip to visit my parents in Washington becomes a pain in the ass!

(The family that waves Terrible Towels and screams at the television together, stays together.)
