In order to tempt certain awesome people in Albany to come out here for a visit...

Today, Remy and I had breakfast at this cupcake cafe, and then went shopping at this vintage clothing store. Clothing and accessories from the 1880s to the 1970s, from $15 up. OMG, awesome. Remy found a couple of nice things, including a shiny cowboy shirt with mother-of-pearl buttons that would make Porter Wagner blush. I found all kinds of awesome things too, but unfortunately, I was either way too fat (no, seriously) or way too skinny for everything. Figures. =\ Ah well, more excuse for a return trip in the near future.

Did I mention both of these places are a short walk from our apartment? And will be an even shorter walk from our new apartment? (Psst, you know you want to visit us!)

Hehee, I love that Coco's advertises "cupcake couture." :) I might have to come visit just for the vintage goodies (and to see you guys, of course!) Now that Special Effects is closed, there isn't much good vintage to be had around here.

By the way, thanks for getting me hooked on "Life on Mars." I watched the whole series in, like, 2 days, and it was AMAZING.

We would love to see you here! And I'm so glad you liked "Life on Mars!" =D I need to pick it back up again soon; I'm only part-way through the second season. I really hope they decide not to do an American remake after all...

If it helps, I lived here most of my life and had never heard of it until recently, heh! There's a lot of surprisingly cool stuff on Ellsworth Avenue- the two aforementioned places, a couple of neat (but super expensive) clothing boutiques, and the Tokyo store, of course!

Please do visit again! =D
