Anyway, when the cats aren't dedicated to sabotaging my knitting, it goes pretty well. I've gotten to the point where it takes me less than five minutes to do one complete row (two passes) of garter stitch, so I can usually add an inch to the scarf just on my lunch break at work. I've managed to get the stitches to be fairly consistent, but the width of the scarf has fluctuated over time. Not hugely, but it niggles at my perfectionist leanings.
I'm almost halfway done, and the scarf is now a few inches taller than I am (I'm 5' 5 1/2"). Here's part of it:
I'm starting to think I bought way too much yarn. I'm still on the first ball of yarn with every color. Oh well, I can figure out something to knit with all the excess- or I can make a couple of Doctor Who scarf starter kits for people ;)
