Total Seinfeld moment
While getting ready for work this morning:

Angel> Cheryl, I heard your biscuits ding.
Cheryl> That wasn't the oven timer, that was the microwave.
Angel> Oh. Well, I heard something ding.
Minna> There need to be different dings for things. They all sound the same.
Cheryl> The timer isn't a ding, it's a ring.
Minna> Oh...

Also, over the weekend I went to JoAnn Fabrics with my roomies, and bought material for a dress that Angel's making for me. =) A medieval-ish dress and surcoat, which I'll need for War of the Roses. It's a weekend event at the end of the month held by the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). I've never done anything SCA-ish, so going with Remy and Dennis and Sarah and Angel and Cheryl (if we can successfully drag my roomies into it ;) ) and whomever else is going will be a first-time thing for me. I love history, but I know little about the Middle Ages by comparison, so I'm afraid of being slammed for being too anachronistic, heh, but we'll see. ;)

the SCA is awesome! I used to be involved back in Pittsburgh. I still go to dance sometimes, which is on Thursday evenings at RPI. It's really fun, if you ever wanna check it out :D Have fun at War!

Thanks! =)

Yeah, there were a few occasions where I almost went to similar dancing sessions at CMU, back in Pittsburgh, but I never got around to it because a) no costume and b) no one would take me. ^_^* But I love dancing, so I'll definitely have to go one of these days!

the fabric you picked out is awesome, I can't wait to start soon :) and I think I could be persuaded to come out and play with the SCAdians, so long as I'm back in town to go see Bella Morte.
